Andechser Hell non-alcoholic
Genuine, full-bodied, off-dry - Andechser Hell non-alcoholic is the first non-alcoholic pale beer to be launched on the market by the monastery brewery in its history.
Gently dealcoholised at low temperatures using an innovative process, the alcohol-free pale ale offers conscious connoisseurs a pale ale with a strong character that makes all the difference. From the very first sip.
Dr Wolfgang Stempfl, taste researcher, on our non-alcoholic Helles: "Brewed using the traditional multiple mashing process, it first impresses with its red-golden hue. A magnificent, fine-pored foam crowns the crystal-clear beer. Its aroma is characterised by soft malt notes and biscuit, harmoniously paired with floral hop aromas. The first sip is lively and refreshing. An astonishing malt body develops, framed by a delicately bitter hop flavour that encourages you to keep drinking. In the finish, the fine malt flavours once again come into their own. Although non-alcoholic, a real, robust beer."
A real, full-bodied beer
Plant manager Alexander Reiss is delighted with the new non-alcoholic beer that he has created together with the master brewer team of Andreas Stürzer, Manuel Rößle, Georg Filgertshofer and Jürgen Scholz. "We went through a long and exciting development phase. We received valuable suggestions and advice from the monks at the monastery in particular. We didn't want to simply de-alcoholise any of our existing Helles, but to create a completely new non-alcoholic Helles." In terms of flavour, the non-alcoholic pale beer with its pronounced malt body and recognisable hops note is clearly in the tradition of the monastic beers from Bavaria's Holy Mountain.
