They work in pastoral care for the parish and pilgrimage in Saint Boniface and Andechs, perform scientific work in maintaining the abbey library in Saint Boniface, and are involved in the colloquium and beyond during educational events. The convent has also been socially active for years, looking after people with no permanent home.

At the Andechs Monastery, the estate, the monks are responsible for the monastery brewery, the monastery store (Klosterladen), agriculture, and for conventions and events on the Holy Mountain.
