Pastoral care around the Holy Mountain
Even before secularisation, the monks of the Andechs Monastery were there for people, providing pastoral care in the surrounding communities and addressing their requests and woes.
Father Anno Bönsch as pastor and Father Lukas Essendorfer as chaplain jointly look after the parishes of Saint Vitus in Erling, Saint John the Baptist in Machtlfing and Saint Pancras in Frieding.
They coordinate the diverse life of the parish communities and accompany believers in Erling, Frieding and Machtlfing in their faith. In cooperation with the municipalities, they regularly celebrate the Eucharist, administer the sacraments and are available for pastoral care consultations.
