Symposium Art and Beer 2024; apply now until 26 February

The competition for artists since 2002 on the theme of "Art and Beer" is particularly dedicated to the cultivation of Bavarian beer and pub culture.
Invitations are extended to artists who take part in the public competition and are selected by the jury. The competition participants are invited to Andechs and produce their works of art on the Maypole Square below the monastery. The artworks created are the property of the artists. They will make the artworks available to the awarding authority for a period of at least 2 years for exhibitions in the monastery and municipal area. With regard to the dimensions and weather resistance of the designs to be submitted, it must therefore be ensured that the artworks can be exhibited outdoors. The awarding authority has the right of first refusal. It is planned to offer a one-day holiday programme with the participating artists for children between the ages of 6 and 12. For the design of this day, the creation of a short experiential education concept is helpful.
