The Andechs Spiritual Retreats for managers offer an excellent opportunity for highly committed management personnel to find and reflect on themselves in the necessary peace and quiet by subjecting themselves to the rhythm of life in a Benedictine monastery.
One could describe the Andechs Spiritual Retreats as a kind of spiritual training course. During the retreats the participants are guests of the monastery and that is why only men can take part in the retreats.
The direct confrontation with the daily routine of prayer, work and meals can help the participant to more clearly perceive and question the structures of his way of life and work.
The work elements of the Andechs Spiritual Retreats induce each participant to examine his situation as a manager more closely. Management situations are dealt with by using selected examples from the Bible and then transferred into the living and business situation of the participant. The retreats focus on the conscious reading of the Rule of St. Benedict. Dialogue, texts and meditation motivate and help the participant to develop his own personal approach and a new orientation. The retreats can be viewed as building blocks to help you along the path to a better integration of lifestyle and personnel management. In this way participants can be given concrete help on how to (re-)design their own lives and styles of work.
